Product Description

Put a PULSE MINI on any bookshelf, countertop or end table, and hear the difference that 60 Watts of tri-amplified 2.1 sound can bring to any room. Add a few around the house, and turn your whole home into a sound studio tapped into all the music ever recorded. Including an amplified headphone output, analog input and even an IR sensor for seamless integration with your TV audio — now you can finally bring your HD home entertainment system up to a total, true HiFi experience.

An innovative dual acoustic chamber with special DSP equalization merges isolated left and right channels through a shared port on the back, resulting in bass power and clarity that you simply have to hear to believe.

Like all PULSE all-in-one Players, when used in pairs, the PULSE MINI is designed to create a large stereo sound field that will expand the way you think about compact speaker performance.

Similar to all Bluesound Players, the PULSE MINI is controlled from your smartphone or tablet using the free BIuOS™ App. The App brings all your music sources together for complete control whether they are in the cloud, on your computer or phone, or from almost any other source via the various digital and analog inputs. Stream from Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, or connect to your wired LAN. Whatever the musical source, Bluesound will play it in the highest available resolution — all the way up to studio master 24/192 resolution.

  • “My living room, dining room, and kitchen are all part of an open floor plan. With the main system in the living room, I didn’t think I’d have much need for an additional speaker in the kitchen/dining area. But I tried a Pulse Mini in that area, and was pleasantly surprised. While cooking and entertaining guests, I group the main speakers and the Pulse Mini. I can keep the volume of both relatively low and still clearly hear the music over the sound of the range hood. Because I don’t have to raise the volume of the main speakers to hear them in the kitchen, guests in the living room area don’t get blown out. When I’m having breakfast, the Pulse Mini alone gives me all the sound I need. Tune-in Radio is built into the Bluesound app, so I can quickly hit the preset for my local NPR station… I borrowed the PowerNode 2 and Pulse Mini for this review, and I’ll be sad to see them go. They offer so much more than even the best Bluetooth speakers. For me, there’s no contest.”

“The Pulse Mini is a sonic marvel, with audio output that greatly belies its size. At just over 6 inches tall and 13 inches wide, it sits pretty demurely on a kitchen counter…until you start feeding it an audio signal. There is a bass note at the beginning of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ “Downtown” that goes virtually unnoticed on most systems without a sub, but the Pulse Mini found the deep note and hit it. Beyond just playing deep, it is articulate and detailed, and two of them can be turned into a stereo pair in larger rooms.” - John Sciacca

“The new Pulse Mini might not be as capable of the same level of room-filling sound, but there’s a touch more refinement there, with a tonal balance that’s a little more neutral. The midrange is clear and articulate, with a treble that sings, even at volume, and though its low end is no match for the powerful Pulse, it’s far from lacking, with agility and punch in spades… We’re big fans of the new Bluesound range. It sounds as good as ever, with some well-judged improvements and great new additions making it a stronger proposition than ever. Price will be a consideration – it’s a little more costly than much of the competition – but if you’re looking for a multiroom system that’s flexible, will support a high-resolution library and sounds excellent, it’s a consideration worth making.”
